Udemy Coupons & Promo Codes

Coupon codes are redeemed on the Udemy checkout page, and the process depends on which type of code you have.

1. Pick an offer on CouponFlint. Click Show Code when the offer requires a code to copy, or Get Deal when the saving applies without a code.
2. On Udemy, add your course to the cart. If a Udemy sale is running, promotional codes are applied automatically to eligible courses and subscriptions at checkout, so you may see the discount without entering anything.
3. If you have an instructor coupon code, enter it in the coupon field on the course page or in the cart and click Apply. Valid codes update the price of all eligible items, and you can enter multiple codes. If the instructor shared a direct link containing the code, clicking it automatically applies it to your cart.
4. Check the label shown next to the applied code at checkout. It tells you whether a Udemy code or an instructor code is in effect, which matters because the two can differ in discount and validity.
5. Confirm the discounted total on the checkout page before you pay.

If a code is not working, check these first:

• The promotion may have ended. Udemy codes are valid only until the promotion they belong to closes, and the duration varies.
• The course may not be included. Instructors choose whether to opt their courses into Udemy promotions, so you may see a notice that the course is not part of the sale. A similar course that is participating will usually accept the code.
• The code may have hit its redemption limit. Both Udemy and instructor coupons can carry a maximum number of uses.
• You may be on the mobile app. Coupon codes are not supported in the Udemy app because payments there run through Apple and Google. Sign in at Udemy.com in a browser to redeem a code.
• You may be applying an instructor code to a subscription. Instructor coupon codes work only on their courses, not on Udemy subscription plans.

If the terms of an instructor's coupon are unclear, Udemy advises asking the instructor directly through the course. Gift codes, if you have one, are redeemed at checkout the same way as coupon codes.

Udemy provides online customer support through its Help Center. There is no published phone support line.

For the situations most relevant to coupon shoppers:

• Refunds: requests for eligible courses are submitted within 30 days of purchase. The Help Center’s refund section explains how to file full or partial refund requests and answers common questions about refund timing.
• Checkout and cart problems: the Help Center provides troubleshooting steps for website issues, payment failures, and courses that are missing after purchase. Clearing your cache and cookies and restarting your browser resolves many cart and Contact Us button issues.
• Coupon problems: for Udemy promotional codes, contact Udemy Support through the Help Center. For instructor coupon codes, the instructor sets the terms, so questions about a specific instructor code go to that instructor through the course’s question feature.
• Subscription billing: questions about Personal Plan or Starter Plan billing are covered in the Help Center’s subscription billing FAQ. Apple or Google Play bills purchases made through the iOS or Android app, and refund questions for those purchases go to Apple or Google, not Udemy.
