Affiliate Disclosure

The short version: when you click a code or deal on CouponFlint and buy something from the retailer, the retailer may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it does not change which offers we publish or how we rank them. This page explains the details.

Why We Publish This Disclosure

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires websites to clearly disclose material connections - relationships where a site can earn money from the recommendations it makes. CouponFlint has such relationships with many of the retailers listed on the Site, so we disclose them here, on store pages, and near the offers themselves.

How Affiliate Links Work

Most Show Code and Get Deal buttons open the retailer's website through a tracking link operated by an affiliate network or by the retailer's own program. The link tells the retailer that the visit came from CouponFlint, usually by setting the network's cookie in your browser on the retailer's site. If you then make a qualifying purchase, the network reports the sale and we receive a percentage or a fixed fee.

The tracking link identifies CouponFlint as the referrer. It does not tell the retailer your name, and it does not change the price the retailer charges you.

Where We Earn Money

• Commissions when a purchase follows an affiliate link from the Site
• Commissions when a published code tied to one of our partnerships is used at checkout
• Sponsored placements, which are labelled Sponsored wherever they appear

We do not charge shoppers anything. The Site is free to use.

What Compensation Does - and Does Not - Affect

Partnerships can influence which retailers we choose to cover: building and maintaining a store page takes editorial time, and we prioritize stores our visitors actually shop at, including partners. Compensation does not affect:

• Whether an offer is published - every code must pass editorial review, commission or not
• How offers are ranked on a page - ordering reflects editorial assessment of the offer, not payout
• What we say about an offer - descriptions state the real discount and terms, never inflated claims
• How quickly a dead code is retired - expired is expired, partner or not

Our Browser Extension

The CouponFlint browser extension shows the same published offers for the store you are visiting and adds a small savings badge on supported search results. It uses the same affiliate links, and only when you click an offer - the extension never applies codes, sets affiliate cookies, or redirects pages in the background.

No Extra Cost to You

Affiliate commissions are paid by retailers out of their marketing budgets. The price you pay is the retailer's price; where a code applies, you pay less, and the commission never adds anything on top.
